Agua Negra Lodge offers one of the world’s most electrifying golden dorado experiences, giving anglers true sight-fishing shots in clear jungle water where every eat is visible and every strike is explosive. These fish fight like saltwater predators crushing flies, cartwheeling through the air, and ripping line with raw power that feels more like battling a tarpon than a river species. With expert professional and Indigenous guides, anglers access untouched headwaters where dorado hunt aggressively and remain virtually unpressured. Despite the remote setting, the lodge provides private rooms, hot water, electricity, Wi-Fi, and excellent dining.

  • Agua Negra Lodge is a remote, eco-friendly jungle lodge built from sustainably sourced local wood, offering far more comfort than you’d expect deep in the Bolivian Amazon.

The lodge features three tent-cabin units accommodating up to four anglers plus a host. Each with double rooms, private bathrooms, box-spring beds, hot water, electricity, and Wi-Fi. Guests enjoy excellent international cuisine, a bar, laundry service, and a small fly shop, all centered around a handcrafted communal lodge space.

For anglers seeking even deeper adventure, remote out-camps at the river’s headwaters allow access to untouched water while still providing essential comforts.

  • Travel to Agua Negra begins with a flight into Santa Cruz, Bolivia, followed by an overnight at the five-star Los Tajibos Hotel.

The next morning, guests take a short charter flight to the village of Oromomo and then transfer by canoe up the Sécure River to the lodge.

After the fishing week, guests return by canoe and charter flight to Santa Cruz for one final hotel night before flying home.

For added convenience, YOTE can handle all travel arrangements to Agua Negra Lodge including flights and ground transportation, so you can focus on the fishing and leave the logistics to us.

  • Agua Negra Lodge offers one of the most exciting golden dorado experiences in the Amazon, giving anglers true sight-fishing opportunities in clear, shallow jungle water where every strike is visible.

Guests rotate between three distinct fisheries: the Agua Negra River, a clear tributary perfect for stalking dorado in skinny water; the Middle Sécure River, a broader system with submerged structure and sandy flats that hold larger fish; and the Chimoro Stream, a small mountain creek known for crystal clarity and intimate, technical casts.

Fishing is done by wading and traditional dugout canoe, with each angler pair guided by an English-speaking professional and two highly skilled Indigenous guides who know every seam and holding lie.

The result is consistent shots at powerful dorado in untouched habitat, fish that eat aggressively, fight explosively, and provide one of the most thrilling freshwater battles anywhere in the world.
