A true Western horseback adventure designed for hunters who want to escape pressure and reach country few ever see. Horses are used to travel deep into Colorado’s backcountry, allowing access to remote basins, high alpine terrain, and untouched habitat well beyond the crowds. This is a physically demanding hunt that rewards grit and determination, trading modern comforts for solitude, wild landscapes, and an authentic backcountry experience. Built for serious hunters seeking challenge, effort, and opportunity in places that still feel truly wild.

    • Comfortable backcountry base camp with wood heat, table, chairs, beds, running water, hot tub, and wifi

    • Spike camp has 1-2 wall tents with cots

    • Can be in either or depending on location and time of year

    • Fly into Missoula or Idaho Falls

    • Overnight one night in a hotel before heading to the lodge

    • For added convenience, YOTE can handle all travel arrangements including flights and ground transportation, so you can focus on the hunt and leave the logistics to us
