Fly Fishing
Fly fishing is the preferred method.
Tucked away on the remote island of Great Inagua in the Bahamas, Inagua Outback Lodge offers anglers a rare chance to experience a true DIY/semi-guided fishing adventure.
This is raw, unpressured water with wide open flats, endless species, and the freedom to fish at your own pace. Local hosts provide the knowledge and transport to put you on the fish, and from there, it’s all about you, your skills, and the pursuit of some of the most exciting gamefish in the world.
It’s a one-of-a-kind balance of independence and support, set in a setting that feels as wild as it is welcoming.
-
The lodge itself is designed with both comfort and connection in mind. Sleeping up to 8 guests, it comes equipped with private bathrooms, hearty island meals, and modern amenities like Starlink high-speed WiFi and smart TVs which are perfect for unwinding after long days on the flats. Outside, a beach bar, fire pit, and waterfront hangout spaces set the stage for evenings of storytelling, laughter, and planning the next day’s adventure. Whether it’s swapping fishing tales around the fire or watching the sunset with a drink in hand, the lodge provides a casual but complete base for your stay.
-
Getting to Inagua Outback Lodge is part of the adventure. The island is served by two Bahamasair flights per week, departing Nassau on Monday and Friday mornings. Because the flight leaves early, an overnight stay in Nassau is required on the front end.
The return flight arrives back in Nassau around 1:35 PM, allowing same-day connections to the U.S. as long as your departure is scheduled after 3:30 PM. The hop between Nassau and Inagua takes roughly 90 minutes, with round-trip fares averaging $375. Though remote, the journey adds to the experience and delivers you to one of the most secluded and unspoiled fisheries in the Bahamas.
For added convenience, YOTE can handle all travel arrangements including flights and ground transportation, so you can focus on the fishing and leave the logistics to us.

Great Inagua’s fishery is about as untouched as it gets. The flats teem with bonefish, while permit, tarpon, snook, triggerfish, jacks, barracuda, and snapper keep things exciting throughout the season.
Fall and winter bring opportunities at big bonefish and permit, while spring offers peak action across the board.
The program is uniquely hands-on: paddleboards for sneaking onto skinny flats in silence, skiffs to cover water, and locals who know the island like the back of their hand driving you to the right zones before setting you loose to fish. It’s an authentic, immersive way to experience the Bahamas, with both variety and quality at your fingertips.
