Nilgai bulls are pursued safari-style across more than 110,000 acres of diverse South Texas terrain, including bay front, prairieland, saltgrass flats, crop fields, and thick brush. Hunts focus on the first and last 2-4 hours of daylight in classic spot-and-stalk fashion, with shots taken from shooting sticks or prone. Upon arrival, guides take all hunters to the range to sight in and check rifles before heading afield. Once an animal is harvested, guides handle all field dressing, skinning, quartering, and caping, with drop-off at a recommended taxidermist included.
