Turkey hunting in South Texas for Rios is an adventure on any hunter's bucket list, and this operation delivers with over 110,000 acres of diverse terrain spanning bayfront, prairieland, saltgrass, crop fields, and thick brush. Active predator control keeps turkey populations abundant year after year, and guides make use of additional local acreage when needed to maximize harvest opportunities.

  • Hunters are provided private bed and bath accommodations with WiFi and laundry facilities, three daily meals prepared by an onsite chef, and transportation to and from Corpus Christi International Airport.

    • The nearest major airport is Corpus Christi International (CRP), with transportation to and from the lodge included in the hunt package. The ranch is located just outside Refugio, Texas, northeast of Corpus Christi.

  • Turkey hunts take place in mid-March across 110,000 acres of South Texas terrain. Hunts are conducted by setting up with decoys and calling birds in during the first and last 2-4 hours of daylight. Guides check shotguns at the range before heading afield and handle all field dressing upon harvest, with drop-off at a recommended taxidermist included. A local processor is also available if desired.
