TARPON CLUB ISLA HOLBOX delivers an unforgettable fly fishing adventure in the pristine waters off Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. From battling giant migratory tarpon in summer to targeting juvenile tarpon, permit, and snook year-round, each day on the water is guided by local experts who know these flats and mangroves inside out.

Boats depart right from the beach, carrying anglers to crystal-clear shallows alive with opportunity. Off the water, guests enjoy the charm of island life, white sand beaches, vibrant local culture, fresh seafood, and activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, and seasonal whale shark or flamingo tours. It’s an ideal balance of world-class fishing and the laid-back beauty of Holbox.

  • The legendary Casa Luz has partnered with TARPON CLUB ISLA HOLBOX to provide anglers with the ultimate blend of world-class fishing and island comfort.

This beachfront, three-level retreat offers airy rooms with private baths, cool ocean breezes, and sweeping views of the Yucatán coast. After a morning chasing tarpon, unwind on shaded terraces, enjoy paddle boarding or kayaking from the beach, or savor chef-prepared meals and fresh seafood under the stars.

Just a short stroll from Holbox’s vibrant shops and restaurants, Casa Luz captures the perfect balance of laid-back island charm and upscale hospitality making every moment, on and off the water, truly unforgettable.

  • Getting to Holbox is part of the adventure. Guests fly into Cancún International Airport, where ARPON CLUB ISLA HOLBOX arranges comfortable, air-conditioned shuttle service to the coastal village of Chiquilá.

From there, you can board the scenic passenger ferry or hire a private boat taxi for a direct ride across the turquoise water to Isla Holbox.

In just a few hours, you’ll trade the bustle of the mainland for white sand streets, ocean breezes, and the relaxed island charm that sets the stage for your fishing experience.

For added convenience, YOTE can handle all travel arrangements including flights and ground transportation, so you can focus on the fishing and leave the logistics to us.

  • At TARPON CLUB ISLA HOLBOX, every day on the water is an adventure. Before dawn, your guides arrive in stealthy, Navy SEAL–style fashion, loading you onto the skiff as the first light begins to break over the horizon. You’ll head straight for the fish’s first feeding frenzy of the day. Whether it's massive schools of rolling migratory tarpon during peak season, or feisty juvenile tarpon in the mangroves, they all will devour your flies with acrobatic leaps. The big tarpon test your skill and patience, while the juveniles deliver nonstop, up-close action you’ll never forget.

By midday, as the bite tapers off, you’ll have lunch and return to Holbox for an afternoon of pure island bliss relaxing on the beach, exploring town, or simply soaking in the view.
