    Trout fishing is year-round. However, fishing is usually best during months that have high insect activity such as spring, summer, and early fall.

    Trout come in all shapes, sizes, and varieties. The most often fished for trout species are Rainbow, Brown, Brook, and Cutthroat.

    Difficulty can range from easy to expert level based on how technical the water is in a location as well as the size of the trout in question.

  • Regions

    Trout fisheries can be found in many of the 50 states as well as Canada.

    Europe, New Zealand, and Argentina are also home to some of the best trout fishing in the world.

  • Gear

    Trout are usually fished for with 3-8 weight rods with floating line. In some applications you may need sinking or intermediate lines.
